About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Case Underwriter-Appliance Protection; Digital Risk Specialist to join our team at Allianz Partners. As a key member of our Underwriting team, you will be responsible for conducting case underwriting for various products, including appliance protection, digital risks, and easy living affinity products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough case underwriting for the mentioned products, ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines and policies.
  • Analyze provided reference datasets and deliver completed quotations with detailed descriptions of cover and caveats to sales colleagues.
  • Collaborate with sales colleagues on business opportunities and ensure seamless communication throughout the underwriting process.
  • Work closely with the Actuarial Team to develop pricing models and ensure accurate risk assessments.
  • Contribute to the development of underwriting guidelines and policies, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives.
  • Actively participate in cross-functional teams to support the performance and activities of other functions within the Line of Business.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in an analytical or financial field.
  • Business-level fluency in English.
  • Proven experience in risk assessment and management, with a strong understanding of insurance principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • 4+ years of experience in underwriting, actuarial, or pricing roles.
  • Preferred: experience in quoting for appliance protection covers.
