Job Summary

As a Research Editor for Politically Exposed Persons and Risk Management, you will be responsible for creating and updating profiles for individuals and entities from specific countries for the Dow Jones Risk & Compliance database. You will work with a team of multilingual experts to research, record, and update details on individuals and entities, and will report to a manager within the Risk & Compliance research team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and update profiles for individuals and entities from specific countries
  • Research and extract relevant data adhering to Risk & Compliance coverage guidelines
  • Contribute to workflow improvements and tool efficiencies
  • Maintain and monitor existing automated workflows
  • Monitor and analyze changes in anti-money laundering regulations
  • Respond to clients' questions about Risk & Compliance content
  • Write due diligence reports on companies and/or individuals as required

Requirements
  • Fluency in English, German, and French
  • Knowledge of tools such as Python, HTML, advanced knowledge of Excel, Macros/VBA programming, and/or SQL
  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills
  • Proofreading skills and experience in handling large volumes of information
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable and responsible attitude and ability to work autonomously
  • Openness to different views and appreciation of team diversity
  • Ability to manage priorities to meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluency in additional languages (e.g. Georgian and/or Dutch)
  • Understanding of the local legal landscape in Western Europe
  • Knowledge of and interest in current affairs and anti-money laundering regulations
  • Education to a degree level or relevant experience
