Job Title: Indirect Procurement Category Manager

In this role, you will work closely with the Vice President of Supply Chain to coordinate with Product Development and conduct sourcing and procurement for all assigned product categories. Your goal will be to create local and global strategies, mitigate supply chain risks, and ensure that QCDDM standards are defined and followed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement category strategies aligned with the company's overall business goals.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop KPIs to measure the effectiveness of category strategy and activities.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify industry trends, potential suppliers, and competitive pricing.
  • Provide insights and recommendations.
  • Establish and manage a network of reliable suppliers.
  • Oversee the onboarding process, including supplier visits, contract negotiations, compliance checks, and performance evaluations.
  • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, focusing on securing favorable terms and conditions.
  • Manage contract renewals, amendments, and compliance.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Participate in full-cycle purchasing project management, from product design until EOP.
  • Active search of manufacturing improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement and category management, preferably in a technology startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of setting up and managing suppliers and categories from scratch.
  • International experience, with proven track record of setting up different regions.
