Our client is a leading energy company engaged in exploration, production, transportation, and sale of crude oil and natural gas.
The company operates through three segments: Upstream, Downstream, and Corporate. The Upstream segment focuses on exploration, field development, and production of crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids.
The Downstream segment involves refining, logistics, power generation, and marketing of crude oil, petroleum, and petrochemical products.
The Corporate segment provides supporting services, including human resources, finance, and information technology.
Job Summary
We are seeking an Analyst to join the Capital Programs Division (CPD) within the Finance business line.
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of project life, from business planning to post-project appraisal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze new projects proposed for inclusion in the business plan.
- Review and analyze capital projects proposed for funding actions.
- Represent the company on various project gate reviews.
- Review complex questions related to capital projects and prepare recommendations for management.
- Provide policy and project funding guidance as required.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports.
- Perform detailed analysis of post-project performance and present findings to management.
Requirements:
- Willingness to relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, or engineering, with a professional certification desirable.
- Have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, project evaluations, project controls, or strategy/management consulting.
- Possess leadership skills and experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
- Show significant experience within one or more industries, allowing you to be considered a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrate the ability to establish personal credibility with internal clients and excellent interpersonal and engagement skills.
- Be a team player capable of working across business lines to add value and achieve team objectives.
- Have the ability to plan and coordinate your own workload and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate strategy, corporate finance, and accounting skills, including the ability to evaluate industry and individual company information.
- Be capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Possess demonstrated project management skills and the ability to offer logical and innovative solutions to complex client issues.
- Be willing to travel as required.
