Job Title: Manager Accounting & Reporting
Job Summary:
The Manager Accounting & Reporting is a key member of the Finance Management Team at West Coast Supply Group. This role is responsible for leading the Accounting and Financial Reporting functions within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor all accounting processes to ensure timely and complete accounting in accordance with laws, regulations, and internal requirements.
- Ensure timely reporting of relevant taxes and consult with the Financial Control team on changes in laws and regulations that may affect the accounting process.
- Prepare, monitor, and update the monthly closing schedule to meet the required timelines set by the Board of West Coast Supply Group.
- Ensure a monthly consolidation with checks and balances on accruals, intercompany transactions, consolidation eliminations, participations, external shareholders, and equity.
- Consult with the Business Control team on new internal requirements to further support decision-making.
- Have sufficient knowledge of all processes leading to entries in the General Ledger and judge potential business changes on their impact on balance and P&L.
- Make efficiency proposals and be in control, preventing mistakes by implementing sufficient internal control procedures and preventing surprises.
- Lead the Annual Audit process with the external auditor, prepare year-end closing planning, and consult with the Financial Control team on changes in laws and regulations that may affect the annual reporting process.
- Schedule, prepare, and lead team meetings according to the Finance Strategy schedule, prepare and share a vision on people development, retention, and back-up in the team.
- Team development, steering, and review according to the Strategy document finance, coaching team and team members, discussing team and personal goals, half-year reviews, and year-end reviews.
- Responsible for the set-up of all accounting and financial reporting processes in the ERP system, up to and including sufficient segregation of duties, and manage the tools used for consolidation and financial reporting.
Requirements:
- Living in the Netherlands.
- At least a Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in managing a team, annual accounts, consolidation, monthly reports, working with deadlines, and working with external partners like accountants.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to develop a vision independently and take decisions.
