About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Roche, a global leader in healthcare. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in shaping the future of healthcare by leveraging data science methods and principles to generate deeper insights from a wide range of data sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement analytical solutions to drive business value and improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize opportunities for data-driven innovation
  • Develop and refine models that address business needs, leveraging Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs)
  • Support the development and deployment of data science products, including cloud-based platforms and machine learning workbenches
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders through effective data storytelling and visualization
Requirements
  • M.Sc. or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent degree and experience
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist, with expertise in Python programming and NLP libraries
  • Familiarity with essential frameworks and infrastructure components for training, fine-tuning, and evaluating NLP tasks
  • Experience in deploying LLM models with cloud platforms and machine learning workbenches
  • Good knowledge of effective training and optimizing language models to fit internal infrastructure and ensure seamless integration
