As a Product Line Manager at Spirent Communications, you will be responsible for driving the success of our product lines, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute product roadmaps, and collaborating with sales and business development functions to optimize product sales across segments.
Key Responsibilities- Outward-Facing Role: Engage with key customers to promote and define product requirements and roadmaps, leveraging technical expertise to support business development and sales primes with near-term revenue opportunities.
- Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for 3rd party fulfillment, ensuring seamless execution of product delivery.
- Inward-Facing Role: Own the product/portfolio lifecycle, including innovation and product lifecycle management, collaborating with Product Marketing to achieve campaign objectives and working with engineering to develop and deliver product roadmaps within the portfolio model.
- Business Development: Enable sales and business development functions to optimally sell the product line/portfolio across segments, coalescing requirements from internal functions and blending with market needs to set roadmaps.
- Financial Management: Responsible for product line profitability, top-line growth, and market expansion, working across different product lines to understand synergies and drive a coherent go-to-market strategy.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Minimally required: Recent Product Management ownership in PNT or related field. Preferred/Specialized: Extensive past Product Management ownership in PNT or related field.
- Engineering Background: Minimally required: Proven core GNSS (or related discipline) engineering knowledge. Preferred/Specialized: Recent professional background for technical engagement in GNSS or PNT (or related discipline) technology.
- Influencing Organisations: Minimally required: Ability to get cross-functional teams on-side to deliver goals. Preferred/Specialized: Experience of influencing upwards decision making to the exec level.
- Proven Finisher: Minimally required: Referenceable track record of completion of key projects. Preferred/Specialized: Ability to manage and complete multiple projects in parallel.
- Attention to Detail: Minimally required: Experience of Product Realization Process (PRP) or Similar. Preferred/Specialized: Clear examples of production of Market Requirement Documents and Business Cases with emphasis on technical services.
- Academic Qualifications: Minimally required: Graduate Degree in RF, Electrical Engineering or related field. Preferred/Specialized: Post Graduate Degree in RF, Electrical Engineering or related field.
