About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our Life Sciences Database Administration team in Barcelona. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing Oracle and Postgres databases, as well as Linux operating systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the deployment and onboarding of new databases to our team.
- Support developers to ensure their applications query databases efficiently.
- Collaborate with the team to define the best technologies and approaches for database administration.
- Resolve day-to-day incidents with our assets.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience managing Oracle or Postgres databases, as well as Linux operating systems.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills for database performance tuning.
- Basic skills in infrastructure, including networking concepts and storage management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in AWS or other cloud environments.
- Knowledge of DevOps and automation tools.
