About the Role

Giesecke+Devrient is a global leader in security technologies, and we're seeking a skilled Network Administrator to join our team in Barcelona. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers and network infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our data centers, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Collaborate with our Infrastructure Operation Engineers, Application Engineers, and Second Level Support Engineers to optimize efficiency, performance, and availability.
  • Lead troubleshooting of network/firewall issues and network performance.
  • Facilitate the transition/transformation of our infrastructure, analyzing all aspects of our existing IT Network and providing recommendations to enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability, and scalability in accordance with GSMA standards.
  • Monitor and manage our environments by integrating telemetry and observability.
  • Continuously improve our services with a focus on optimization, efficiency, and high availability.
  • Evaluate cutting-edge technologies and integrate them into our existing systems.
Your Profile
  • University degree, Certificate of Higher Education in Computer Sciences and/or related technical/engineering.
  • Professional experience in complex network and platform setups on-premise datacenter operations.
  • Knowledge of Cisco products like DCNM, Nexus, NX-OS, Load Balancing, Firewalls, as well as strong Linux skills.
  • Familiarity with Ansible and Nagios.
  • Good understanding of compliance and information security requirements in service operations.
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and ownership mentality combined with a drive for continuous self-learning and improvement.
  • Comfort with collaboration, open communication, and interaction across functional teams.
  • Good level in English written and verbal.
