Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop inverter and Power Plant Controller models in various software platforms (PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, Matlab, etc.) for photovoltaic and battery storage markets.
  • Homologate inverter and Power Plant Controller models for specific markets, such as Australia, Europe, and the US.
  • Conduct grid code surveillance to identify new requirements that will launch new developments.
  • Perform grid integration studies for PV & BESS projects to confirm correct dimensioning and grid code compliance.
  • Correlate inverter models with testbench and HiL measurement results.
  • Generate technical notes with grid code compliance analysis of Gamesa Electric inverters and Power Plant Controllers.
  • Support Power Plant Controller parametrization of PV & BESS plants.
  • Provide pre-sales support on PV & BESS plant dimensioning and technical questions of customers.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to support customers.
  • Offer after-sales support in relation to models, grid code compliance, and operational limits.
Requirements:
  • Passion for renewable energy and a sense of the importance of leading the change.
  • Knowledge of electrical grids and grid code compliance.
  • At least 3 years of experience in grid integration for the renewable energy market.
  • Experience in analysis, diagnosis, and problem-solving on complex systems.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Full competence in at least one of the following software: PSS/E, PSCAD, or PowerFactory.
