We are headquartered in Milan, Italy, but our teams work across Europe and the UK. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be part of a team of 5 cloud experts, working on the management of our existing clusters and driving future improvements and best practices related to k8s and cloud native technologies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Improve the efficiency of our software development lifecycle through best practices and infrastructure improvements
  • Develop and provide tools to enhance developer experience
  • Scale and improve our cloud infrastructure, ensuring governance, cost, and security are under control
  • Develop and improve platform monitoring strategies
  • Perform capacity management and load testing
  • Provide cloud infrastructure support for the entire Research & Development department

Technologies you might work with include:

  • Orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker
  • Cloud: AWS, GCP
  • Web: Nginx, Cloudflare
  • Data: Kafka, MySQL, Postgres, RabbitMQ, MongoDB
  • Monitoring: Grafana, Loki, Prometheus
  • Code: PHP, Java, Groovy, Python, Javascript

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on production experience on Kubernetes, at least 3 years
  • Experience with at least one Cloud Provider, preferably AWS

Good to have:

  • Understanding of SRE and DevOps practices
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD
  • Relevant experience with RDBMS (mysql, postgres), troubleshooting and optimization
  • Background in Linux environments as Administrator
  • Experience on scripting (bash, python)
  • Practical knowledge of networking, both cloud and bare-metal
  • Good knowledge of monitoring and log collection tools (grafana, prometheus, loki)
  • Experience with PHP or Java on k8s is a plus
  • Experience with OSS CMS (WordPress, Joomla...) is a plus
