The Role

We're seeking an IT Reliability Manager to establish and lead a team responsible for ensuring the high availability, performance, and reliability of our real-time services and IT infrastructure. This individual will be instrumental in setting up processes, defining best practices, and creating a culture of proactive incident prevention and rapid response.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Build and mentor a team of System Reliability Engineers, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting knowledge sharing.
  • Infrastructure Reliability: Design, implement, and manage monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems to identify and resolve issues before they impact customers.
  • Incident Response: Setup 1st Tier response team to cover Raven Pack's 24x7 real-time services operational needs.
  • Incident Management: Lead incident response efforts, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Automation: Automate routine tasks and processes to reduce manual effort, minimize errors, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Change Management: Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth and safe deployment of new features and updates.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation on system architecture, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, security, and other teams to promote a DevOps culture and ensure system reliability is a shared priority.

What We Offer

We provide a competitive salary, estimated at $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you'll enjoy:

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 5+ years of experience in SRE, system administration, or DevOps roles, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems, cloud platforms (AWS is a must), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to motivate and inspire a team, delegate effectively, and drive results.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) is required.
