The Project Management Excellence Lead is responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards for project management practices across the organization. This involves providing guidance, frameworks, tools, and support to project managers to ensure successful project delivery across the organization.
The role is responsible for defining the project management excellence framework, which aims to raise the bar for program and project managers across the organization by providing best practices, frameworks, tooling, and processes. This includes leveraging audit control to ensure the right level of quality.
The Project Management Excellence Lead promotes a culture of continuous improvement within the project management community. This involves providing training, mentorship, and guidance to project managers to enhance their skills and knowledge and optimize project delivery.
The role facilitates communication between project teams, stakeholders, and senior management to ensure alignment and transparency. It also leads the project management tool implementation and ensures the right features are available to manage projects efficiently, complying with established standards.
The Project Management Excellence Lead collaborates with the Transformation and Commercial Strategy function to ensure strategic initiatives are well-defined with the expected standards and qualities. It also collaborates with the Process Transformation team to ensure processes are aligned and simplified to optimize project management delivery.
Overall, the role's purpose is to implement project methodology across the project managers' community and control quality through auditing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Define the project management excellence framework to raise the bar for program and project managers across the organization
