Project Safety Assurance Manager

At Alstom, we're looking for a skilled Project Safety Assurance Manager to join our team in Madrid. As a key member of our project team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safety of our signalling projects.
Your key responsibilities
- Coordinate all safety assurance activities on the project.
- Define the safety plan and manage the safety workload and associated planning.
- Perform safety analysis, manage the hazard log, review design, V&V, T&C activities from a safety perspective.
- Build the safety reports and the safety case.
- Apply the safety assurance methodologies (risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification and validation) defined for the project.
- Defend the safety case argumentations in front of internal (QS, Safety Assessor) and external (ISA) assessors; define and follow-up action plans to close the findings of the assessor.
- Manage (if any) the safety assurance engineers involved on the project.
About you

- Engineering degree
- >5 years of experience in safety signalling projects (IXL and/or ERTMS track and/or ERTMS ONB and/or CBTC solutions)
- English and Spanish at a fluent level is mandatory
- Relevant experience in safety assurance in connected railway signalling safety projects.
- Successful experience in working in a multi-site, multi-cultural environment.
- Working knowledge of safety methods: safety plan, preliminary hazard analysis PHA, failure modes and effects critical analysis FMECA, fault tree analysis FTA, interface hazard analysis IHA, operation & support hazard analysis OSHA, safety-related item list SRIL, hazard log HL, V&V safety report, and safety case.
