Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced individual to own the payroll processing cycle for a country or company, depending on size and complexity. Key responsibilities include:

  • Paying Balances and controls at input and output (Source to Gross, Gross to Net)
  • Payroll Accounting support
  • Complex payroll queries & escalations
  • Vendor operations management
  • Point of contact for stakeholders (Benefits, Compensation, Stock Options, HR Services, Local HR, Recruitment, Accounting, Treasury and others)

The ideal candidate will have a proven record of delivering process efficiency results and experience with Spanish payroll processes and systems. They should be able to abstract requirements independently and have a good understanding of personal income tax legislation, labor law, and social security systems.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will contribute to various projects that positively impact employees, such as process improvements (Six Sigma), country expansions, and new payroll setups. Your daily tasks may involve analyzing complex data, implementing efficient solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you must have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Spanish Payroll
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookup, and other formulas)
  • Good analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, it is beneficial to have experience with SAP, PeopleSoft, Workday, or ADP software, as well as a sense of innovation and a passion for discovering, inventing, simplifying, and building.

Compensation

This full-time role offers an estimated salary range of €45,000 - €60,000 per year, based on industry standards for senior payroll professionals in Spain. Amazon is committed to providing competitive compensation packages that reflect your value to the team.
