Job Summary
Nordex Group is seeking a highly skilled Grid Code Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the compliance of our wind farms with International Grid Codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate Grid Code requirements and standards to ensure compliance.
- Develop and implement test cases to verify Grid Code compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate Grid Code requirements into software development processes.
- Develop internal product specifications for Grid Code compliance.
- Support Grid Code compliance and Grid connection within Sales and Project phases.
- Define test plans for Grid Code compliance and quality assurance on wind farm, wind turbine, and component levels.
- Perform, evaluate, and document Grid Code compliance tests.
- Analyze test data to identify areas for improvement.
- Specify new functions and features to enhance Grid Code compliance.
- Shape and clarify Grid Code requirements within working groups, committees, and direct exchanges with utilities and customers.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Systems or similar.
- Experience with Grid Code requirements.
- Experience in test case definition and ideally test-driven development.
- Good knowledge of Grid Code compliance at power plant level and details of the software to achieve this.
- Ideal experience with OEM wind turbines or similar.
- Experience in programming in Python or similar for test analysis and automation.
- Self-responsible, structured, customer-oriented, and solution-minded.
- Cross-cultural understanding, and strive to work collaboratively with teams across functions and geographies.
- Fluent spoken and written English; Spanish and/or German would be an asset.
- Good communication skills.
- Proactive, assertive, and a team player.
