**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced data manager to develop, implement, and manage a FAIR cohort data platform at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal). The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain key databases that form part of the platform, providing datasets for analysis as required by ISGlobal faculty and collaborators.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and implement a FAIR cohort data platform that integrates data from several existing cohorts coordinated by ISGlobal.
- Develop and maintain key databases that form part of the platform.
- Provide datasets for analysis as required by ISGlobal faculty and collaborators.
- Collaborate with ISGlobal faculty and external collaborators to spearhead new projects.
**Requirements**
- Doctoral level education in informatics, bioinformatics, biostatistics, or related topics.
- Experience in processing and managing complex data for scientific research, with experience in managing large longitudinal cohort datasets an advantage.
- Experience with relevant modern programming languages: R, Python.
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL.
- Knowledge of federated database infrastructures using Opal/Armadillo and DataSHIELD.
- Knowledge of High-performance computing (HPC) systems using schedulers such SLURM under Linux.
- Knowledge of Data Management Plans and Data Protection Methods.
- Strong preference for candidates who have applied the FAIR principles in scientific research.
- Experience in epidemiological sciences an advantage.
