Director of HR, EMEA

Recurrent Energy is a leading developer, owner, and operator of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects. We are seeking an experienced Director of HR, EMEA to lead our HR operations across the region.

About the Role

We are looking for a strategic and innovative HR leader to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's business objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HR management, a deep understanding of labor laws and regulations, and a proven track record of driving organizational success through effective HR practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and initiatives that promote employee engagement, retention, and development.
  • Lead the EMEA HR teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality HR services across the region.
  • Partner with senior leadership and stakeholders to understand business needs and provide strategic HR guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management.
  • Oversee all aspects of HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to foster a culture of belonging and respect within the organization.
  • Lead and support organizational change initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and expansion into new markets.
  • Develop and analyze HR metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing HR operations in the EMEA region.
  • Deep knowledge of EMEA labor laws and regulations, with experience navigating complex legal and compliance issues.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that drive organizational success and support business growth.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to change and lead through ambiguity.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to translate data and insights into actionable HR initiatives.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish; proficiency in additional languages spoken in the EMEA region is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel (50%) within the EMEA region.
