Application Support Specialist

Job Summary:
Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) is seeking a skilled Application Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our software applications and providing top-notch support to our internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with operation engineers, QA, and software development teams to perform code releases across various environments.
- Troubleshoot configuration and deployment issues during scheduled release cycles.
- Liaise with on-site and remote teams in support of software deployments and support of customer and internal applications.
- Collaborate with the team responsible for all production/non-production software platforms to ensure high availability operational status.
- Participate in 24/7 support for all production applications based on an on-call rotation with occasional deployment on off-hours.
- Provide input on production site uptime and stability.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of system monitoring operational tools.
- Actively participate in quarterly weekend releases.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in hands-on software release roles.
- Proficiency in Linux, Windows-based application programs, PowerShell, or Linux shell languages.
- Experience with open-source release software.
- Preferred experience in recipes and cookbooks using CHEF, AWS or equivalent cloud services, Pingdom, Jira, Splunk PRTG, and AWS.
- Coordinating releases.
- Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
