Key Responsibilities:

As a Strategic Commodity Buyer at Adecco, you will lead the procurement management of specific projects and commodities during the development phase. This involves managing requests for quotations (RFQs) with the supplier base to ensure the best results in terms of Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD). You will also act as the point of contact for project management and communication with all stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact for project management and communication with all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the global purchasing team to define strategies and supplier award processes.
  • Develop and update purchasing strategies for assigned commodities from the tender and development phase.
  • Manage and optimize supplier relationships, leading transformations in the existing supplier base.
  • Track and ensure project-related purchasing costs while identifying and mitigating risks with the supply chain team.
  • Propose improvements and share best practices with the team.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, and 3+ years of experience in strategic purchasing within the industrial or manufacturing sector, preferably in an international environment. You should also have experience purchasing materials such as steel, plastic, aluminum, fabrics, etc., and technical knowledge of manufacturing processes like die casting, plastic injection, painting, and steelwork. Fluency in English (professional level) is required, and French is a plus. Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills are also essential.
