Job Title: Tax Compliance Specialist

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Tax Compliance Specialist to join our European VAT Compliance & Controllership team in Barcelona. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the VAT compliance status of our third-party sellers and providing data to tax authorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Confirm the VAT registration and compliance status of third-party sellers
  • Provide transactional and other data to tax authorities in respect of third-party sellers
  • Manage and control access of third-party sellers to Amazon marketplaces based on VAT compliance status and requests from tax authorities
  • Assist with VAT registrations across various jurisdictions
  • Respond to VAT compliance queries from Amazon businesses operating across Europe
  • Provide internal and external audit support, including data analysis
  • Participate in cross-functional projects
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
  • Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
  • Fluent verbal and written skills in Italian, German, or Spanish
