**Job Summary**

Spirent Communications is seeking a highly skilled Senior Applications Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing technical and applications support to our customers.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Engage in complex technical discussions with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Utilize deep knowledge of Spirent products and services to align appropriate solutions based on client needs.
  • Help design solutions and formulate responses to requests for proposal (RFx), deliver proof of concept (POC) / demos, and present solutions to customers.
  • Liaise closely with engineering, professional services, and tailored solutions teams to address complex customer requests.
  • Grow depth of relationships with customers in the Defence and Automotive markets.
  • Stay abreast of developments in Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) / Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) technologies and test methodologies.
  • Provide customer feedback on products, services, and process improvements as needed.
  • Work closely with Sales Enablement team to generate application-specific materials.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or another technical field from an accredited university; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience which includes 5 years of relevant industry experience with GNSS, PNT or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with test automation programming environments including LabView, Matlab desirable.
  • Self-motivated team player with proven problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate technical material clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work closely with other people to solve challenging problems.
  • Experience using GNSS Test Equipment and/or GNSS receivers is a plus.
  • Travel may be required up to 25%.
