Archer Daniels Midland Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing site in Rivas, Spain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all plant operations, implementing industry best practices, and inspiring your team to achieve excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Safety and Risk Management: Ensure a safe working environment for all employees and contractors, and maintain a strong safety record.
- Operations Excellence: Oversee daily operations, focusing on quality, productivity, and operational efficiency. Optimize maintenance processes, including preventive and predictive maintenance, and manage contractors effectively.
- Strategic Vision: Develop a clear vision for the plant, including necessary investments and plans to achieve excellence.
- Continuous Improvement: Encourage and lead a culture of continuous improvement, identifying optimization opportunities and implementing Lean Six Sigma projects.
- Environmental Sustainability: Incorporate sustainable practices into factory operations, reducing waste and adhering to environmental standards.
- Quality and Customer Satisfaction: Establish quality management systems to ensure products meet expected standards and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Performance Management: Manage the plant budget using activity-based cost management tools and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess factory performance.
- Leadership and Development: Lead a team of production supervisors, inspiring and developing them in a collaborative work environment.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and/or production manufacturing preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience in the food or feed industry being a plus.
- Language Skills: Ability to communicate in Spanish and English.
