Plant Manager

As a key member of our team, the Plant Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the success and growth of our plant. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned operations professional to lead a team of production and supervisors, inspiring and motivating them to achieve excellence in all aspects of plant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Safety First: Ensure the safety of everyone on site and the safety performance of the site, as measured by key performance indicators.
- Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, focusing on quality, productivity, and operational efficiency, using integrated information systems and automation tools to optimize processes.
- Strategic Vision: Develop a clear vision for the plant, including necessary investments and plans to achieve excellence, in collaboration with the Operations Senior Manager or Director.
- Continuous Improvement: Encourage and lead a culture of continuous improvement, identifying optimization opportunities, implementing Lean Six Sigma projects, and encouraging employee suggestions.
- Environmental Sustainability: Incorporate sustainable practices into factory operations, reducing waste, responsible energy consumption, maintaining certifications, and adhering to environmental standards.
- Quality and Customer Satisfaction Management: Establish quality management systems to ensure products meet expected standards, maintaining high customer satisfaction consistently.
- Performance: Manage the plant budget using activity-based cost management tools, ensuring accurate resource allocation and plant CAPEX plan and follow-up, monitoring key performance indicators to assess factory performance.
- HR: Lead a team of production and supervisors, inspiring, motivating, and developing them in a collaborative work environment, with strong collaboration expected with the Director of Operations.
- Dedication to working safely and awareness of the safety of others.
- Operational experience in leading a manufacturing plant.
- Knowledge of quality constraints and customer service.
- Experience in continuous improvement with problem-solving and optimization tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with plant engineers, operators, R&D, and upper management.
- Willingness to spend time in plant areas on a daily basis.
- Strategic decision-making and operational agility.
- The ability to communicate in Spanish and English.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or production manufacturing is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the food or feed industry is a plus.
