Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Globalriser. As a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced engineers in the design, development, and manufacturing of subsea well control equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems, including strength calculations, 3D CAD modeling, and drawing using SolidWorks.
  • Work alongside our engineering team to provide assistance with design requests for special tooling and in-house development.
  • Contribute to the development of manufacturing data packs, including Bills of Materials, Quality Control Plans, and Work Instructions.
  • Collaborate with vendors during the fabrication stage to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
  • Manage design, development, and manufacturing projects from inception to delivery, with assistance from management.
  • Draft manuals and procedures as required.
  • Report effectively to management and customers.
  • Ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • No prior experience is required, as this is an entry-level position.
  • Vacation or experiential training relevant to the field is advantageous.
  • Advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Excellent level of English, both written and verbal.
  • Sound understanding of 3D CAD packages, particularly SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge of FEA software, such as SolidWorks Simulation, is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of engineering calculations software, such as Mathcad or MATLAB, is advantageous.
