We are seeking a skilled Lead Fermentation Innovator to join our team at Danone. As a leading food and beverage company, we believe that every time we eat or drink, we vote for the world we want. We make healthy, sustainably produced foods and beverages that nourish people's lives.
The ideal candidate will be in charge of identifying and benchmarking new strains and ferment solutions to enable product superiority, optimal nutrition, or specific health benefits across all product categories. They will integrate strain biodiversity, fermentation processes, and emerging technological, molecular, digital approaches in collaboration with suppliers and external partners.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement fermentation strategies to enhance product quality and nutritional value.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Provide technical expertise to support the development of new products and processes.
- Contribute to the nurturing of a culture of innovation within the organization.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have a PhD in Microbiology or applied fermentation, 10 years of experience in the field of microbiology, culture, fermentation, and a good level of English and Spanish. You should also possess leadership, pragmatic, innovative, curious, pedagogic, and project management skills.
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, you will have the opportunity to work with a global leader in the food and beverage industry and contribute to making a positive impact on society.
