Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Operations Trainee to join our team in Barcelona. As a key member of our IAA team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth processing and clearing of securities transactions, as well as the timely completion of month-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for correct daily processing, posting, and clearing of securities transactions, and income payments.
  • Responsible for timely month-end closing activities.
  • Net asset value (NAV) calculation for Unit Linked business and some non-Unit Linked portfolios.
  • Periodic reconciliation of securities holdings and cash account holdings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting is preferred.
  • Fundamental knowledge of most common asset classes in traditional financial instruments, risks, and markets.
  • Holding a CFA or similar certification would be highly valued.
  • FSCM/FAM/TRM-SAP Treasury/Financial technical skills is preferred.
  • Client focus, combined with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to gain new skills and experiences, while also sharing knowledge across the team.
