Director of Security Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Security to join our team at Hotel Mandarine Regency. As a key member of our pre-opening team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests and associates, as well as the protection of our property from loss or damage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective security and risk management policies to protect the hotel and its guests.
  • Manage and lead the Security Team, liaising with external agencies as necessary.
  • Ensure that effective procedures and records are in place to protect the hotel in case of fire and other emergencies.
  • Conduct regular safety and security audits to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with contractors and external agencies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in security and risk management, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, associates, and external agencies.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
