Electrical R&D Engineer - Automation Expert

About the Role:

Vanderlande Industries B.V. is seeking an experienced Electrical R&D Engineer to join our team in India. As an integral member of our global agile stream, you will work closely with development engineers to design and develop innovative electrical systems for material handling automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop PLC-based control systems for industrial automation applications.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to select, design, and install electrical/electronic parts of control systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including E-Plan Electric P8 drawings and AutoCAD Electrical designs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure compliance with machine design standards, rules, and recommendations defined by UL/CSA/NFPA/IEC/CE authorities.
  • Design and develop PLC-based conveyor systems, including power distribution, sizing of power, control switchgear & cabling, field, and industrial network components.
  • Parameterize and apply variable frequency drives and motor controllers.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of safety-related parts of control systems and machine design safety standards.
  • Work with field bus systems, including ASi, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, and ControlNet.

Requirements:

  • BE. / B. Tech/ M.E / M. Tech (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or allied engg. branch) from a recognized University / Institution.
  • 10-15 years of relevant industry experience, out of which at least 6 years with PLC control material handling automation solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills – English language.

  • Functional knowledge of Enovia or any PLM tool.
  • Practical expertise of Atlassian tool suits (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, SourceTree, Bamboo).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (MS word, MS excel, MS outlook and MS teams app).
  • Experience of executing work in Agile environment is an added advantage.
