Food Safety Specialist

About the Role
Ecolab, a leading industry expert in food safety and brand protection, is seeking a part-time Contractor/Freelance Food Safety & Brand Standard Auditor to join our team in Alicante, Spain.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive on-site evaluations and training to ensure clients maintain the highest standards in food safety, cleanliness, guest experience, and brand protection.
- Consult, coach, and train clients on the latest food safety, health, and hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with account management teams to resolve client challenges and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Perform a budgeted number of audits weekly, leveraging industry-leading food safety practices and ongoing monitoring of health inspection information.
- Provide accurate reporting and ensure effective customer communication and relationships.
Requirements
- Level 4 Food Safety qualification.
- Experience in the food service/hygiene industry.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends depending on business needs.
- A valid driver's license.
- No immigration sponsorship available.
Preferred Qualifications
- Food safety certifications, such as HACCP, ISO22000, BRC, or NEHA (RS, REHS, or CP-FS) credentials.
- Retail food safety experience and reviews of brand standards.
- Teaching or coaching experience in a food-related field.
- Strong relationship management and advanced consulting skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work effectively without supervision, demonstrate initiative, common sense, and superior decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, juggle tasks, and work efficiently against deadlines.
