About the RoleThe Senior Financial Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient running of the Accounting and Finance Department. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for supervising and overseeing various areas, including accounts payable, receivable, ledger, credit, and inventory management.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure each section of the Accounting and Finance Department is managed efficiently, maximizing technology utilization.
- Review Purchase Orders to guarantee correct chart of account codes are used.
- Maintain and program Master Keys for the hotel, ensuring smooth interface working.
- Review reports compiled by Cost Auditor and liaise with Materials Manager to ensure proper procedures and control of inventories.
- Keep and safeguard all contracts, leases, insurance policies, and legal/financial documents.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing daily IJ (income Journal) and approving.
- Reviewing spot checks such as cash counts conducted by income auditors.
- Approving General Cashiers Report, ensuring all receipts are intact and remitted to the bank promptly.
You will be responsible for:
- Reviewing invoice postings.
- Reviewing weekly payment proposal and checking manuals for international payments.
- Checking and approving Petty Cash claims/reimbursements.
- Approving travel agent commissions via Onyx.
- Approving IOUs and liaising with the general cashier to ensure timely clearance.
Your tasks will include:
- Ensuring AR is clear.
- Participating in monthly credit meetings.
- Approving rebates, write-offs, and transfers.
- Reviewing the daily In-house Guest Credit and deposit ledgers.
You will prepare:
- Month-end journal vouchers.
- Reviews Balance Sheet accounts, ensuring schedules are prepared on time and accurately.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Director of Finance in monthly financial reporting and analysis.
- Assisting the Director of Finance in compiling budgets and forecasts.
- Assisting Department Heads by providing historical data or support details.
You will support:
- The hotel's focus on service excellence by training and assisting other departments.
- Finance personnel providing professional, courteous, and caring service to employees and visitors.
