Job Title: Senior DSP & Digital Communications Design Engineer

Thales Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior DSP & Digital Communications Design Engineer to join our team in Madrid, Spain. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for designing and developing digital communication architectures and algorithms for space applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate customer specifications and perform flow-down of requirements to VHDL specification
  • Generate MATLAB/Simulink models of processing blocks to detail VHDL requirements
  • Review Design, Development, and Validation Plan of FPGA according to FPGA requirements
  • Participate in C/FW-HW integration tests to ensure correct implementation of FPGA design
  • Apply Artificial Intelligence to Space Applications such as image processing or communications optimization
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Telecommunication Engineer (MSc) or equivalent
  • Firm background on Signal and Systems theory, digital communications, and electronics
  • Good experience in designing and development of SDR/digital communication architectures and algorithms
  • Experience in Digital Signal Processing Design for Up/Down conversions, digital filtering, and suppressed/reduced carrier
