Job Title: Ethernet and Optical Network Specialist

Job Summary:

Colt is seeking a skilled Ethernet and Optical Network Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our network operations team, you will be responsible for proactively monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving faults across our pan-European Ethernet and optical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and troubleshoot faults across our Ethernet and optical infrastructure
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to resolve issues
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry

Requirements:

  • Direct experience in transmission services and technologies, including Ethernet, WDM, DWDM, TDM, ADM, DCS, DXC, SDH, and PDH
  • Proven working experience with vendors such as Marconi, ALU, Lucent, Nortel, Nokia, NSN, Siemens, Overture, Adva, Infinera, Aspen, Netcool, Smarts, Ciena, and Accedian
  • Excellent knowledge of LAN-based products and network management systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Fluent in English and a second European language is an advantage
