About the Role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a key partner in driving medical excellence and enhancing our reputation and success in designated therapy areas. As a field-based medical professional, you will communicate and discuss the depth of science behind our products to facilitate uptake and quality use of our medicines.

This role involves engaging and building strong relationships with key external medical experts, gathering insights, and facilitating knowledge exchange. High levels of collaboration with medical and commercial operations functions are required to ensure activities align with our strategic objectives while acting in compliance with all national laws and regulations and our compliance standards.

Responsibilities
  1. Medical Content Communication: Communicate new and other important approved medical content to targeted healthcare professionals (HCPs) in local, regional, or national capacities, including Vaccines HCP decision-makers, national and regional key opinion leaders, national and regional professional associations, payer groups, government organizations, and primary care key stakeholders.
  2. Medical Information Provision: Provide externally truthful, accurate, and scientifically supported information in response to unsolicited medical requests from HCPs and other stakeholders, complying with all applicable ethical, governmental, and our guidelines.
  3. Presentation Delivery: Deliver presentations to relevant stakeholders in accordance with the designated medical strategy established by the Spanish, European, and Global Medical Affairs team.
  4. Communication Facilitation: Facilitate communication between HCPs and healthcare decision-makers, and Medical Affairs colleagues.
  5. Research Facilitation: Facilitate Seqirus-sponsored clinical trials, collaborative research, and investigator-initiated research activities.
  6. Team Collaboration: Engage and collaborate with Market Access, Sales Team, Customer Services, Communications, and Medical Affairs teams locally and at the EMEA level.
  7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all internal and external policies, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
  1. Scientific Degree: Scientific Degree as Medical Doctor (MD) or PhD in another life science (e.g., pharmacy, biology, chemistry).
  2. Experience: 3 years of experience following the last stage of training, including 2 or more years in clinical and/or health services education or research (preferably in the pharmaceutical industry).
  3. Expertise: Experience in infectious diseases, epidemiology, vaccines, and public health, and knowledge of the Spanish healthcare system.
  4. Language Skills: Fluency in English and Spanish; must be comfortable presenting and conversing in English.
  5. Travel Requirements: Holds a driving license valid in Spain and is willing to travel across Spain and internationally according to business needs.
