The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Scientific Liaison to join our team in Madrid, Spain. As a Medical Scientific Liaison, you will play a critical role in implementing our medical strategy and building relationships with key external experts in the field of oncology and urology.
Key Responsibilities
- Scientific Exchange and Collaboration: Engage in scientific exchange with key external experts to share knowledge about our products, diseases, and therapeutic areas, ensuring safe and effective use of our products.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, to demonstrate an excellent scientific and clinical knowledge, as well as an understanding of stakeholder needs.
- Medical Advice and Support: Provide timely and scientific advice and responses to questions raised by health professionals, sales, marketing, or market access areas, through personal meetings, documentation, or approved scientific presentations.
- Medical Education and Cross-Functional Activities: Support medical education and cross-functional activities to ensure maximal internal strategic value of our medical affairs and subsequent benefits to patient care.
- Key External Expert Identification and Relationship Development: Identify key external experts in alignment with our medical strategy and develop and maintain professional relationships with them by providing support and engaging in scientific exchanges.
Requirements
- Proven Experience: Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or in the medical field, such as Medical Affairs, Product Management, Clinical Research, or Academia.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of health organization structures, reference hospitals, key external experts, and evaluation committees in the relevant area, as well as the ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in oncology or related therapeutic areas, previous experience as a Medical Scientific Liaison, and a Bachelor's degree in Health-Related Sciences or equivalent.
