About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Procurement Manager to join our team at Ortolan People. As a key member of our Supply Chain Department, you will play a crucial role in managing the end-to-end Source to Contract process for indirect procurement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Sourcing Strategies: Identify and develop sourcing/procurement strategies to deliver sustainable cost reduction, service/quality improvement, and risk mitigation.
  • Category Management: Develop a category strategy for each assigned category that incorporates customer requirements, market conditions, sourcing strategy, business risk, and supplier capabilities.
  • Sourcing and Contracting: Support and lead the implementation of new sourcing initiatives aligned with the business needs and the procurement plan. Conclude sourcing initiatives with relevant legal framework to minimize commercial risks and ensure performance can be monitored.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to improve quality and service performance, risk mitigation, and identify opportunities to drive further value from our relationships.
  • Project Management: Manage the R&D spend, under the existing Commercial along with Quality and Technical Agreement between Pharmanovia and its partner Contract Manufacturing Organisation (CMO). Project manage the Analytical Reference Standards for Pharmanovia, including stock control, sourcing of new and or novel Standard requirements, monitoring of the CMO Laboratory requests, and tracking and progress chasing fulfillment of the requests.
  • Procurement Data Management: Underpin robust processes that maintain procurement information/data, files, and records for regulatory compliance. Ensure supplier pricing is maintained accurately at all times and support the resolution of any price queries by working with the Accounts team as required.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with at least five years' experience with direct and indirect categories within operations and service procurement. You should have a Bachelor's degree in life sciences and great IT skills, including SAP and Power BI, advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint. You should also have experience with procurement of pharmaceutical R&D, technical, bulk manufacturing, and packaging services, as well as great project management skills, with experience leading procurement projects.

You should have a comprehensive understanding of GMDP, quality compliance within the EU, as well as USA and Canada. Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as well as great interpersonal and interaction skills when dealing with internal and external clients/vendors and colleagues. You should be a self-starter, a problem solver with the ability to 'think outside of the box', and able to work in a collaborative and facilitative manner.
