Mar Recruitment & Consulting is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Pipeline Technology Equipment Technician for various offshore projects globally.
Role Responsibilities:
The technician will be responsible for ensuring the operational status of pipeline mainline equipment throughout project execution, preparation, installation, and startup phases. Under the guidance of the Welding Foreman and technical supervision of the chief engineer/electrician, the technician will serve as the technical reference for all pipeline production equipment.
Key Duties:
- Carry out tasks within the designated area of responsibility for all pipeline technology equipment, ensuring adherence to QA/QC and HSE standards.
- Execute electrical and mechanical tasks in compliance with safety and quality protocols.
- Perform electrical connections for various equipment, including circuit breakers and transformers.
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure proper installation and connections.
- Inspect equipment and materials for safe operating conditions, reporting any discrepancies to the pipeline technologies engineer.
- Conduct tests on electrical systems and circuits using testing devices to verify compatibility and safety.
- Coordinate within the assigned work environment to maintain a safe operational setting.
- Provide regular maintenance and repair services for pipeline technology equipment.
- Install and connect various electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems as required.
- Execute mechanical and electrical repairs independently, without third-party assistance.
- Perform refurbishment operations on equipment as necessary.
- Follow the permit to work procedures diligently.
- Ensure all planned maintenance activities are executed as per the established schedule.
- Document all maintenance interventions comprehensively.
- Recommend modifications and upgrades to enhance equipment efficiency and safety.
- Adhere to all HSE policies and standards during task execution.
- Ensure proper preservation of equipment during extended standby periods.
- Comply with internal company procedures and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with welding technologies and equipment.
- Knowledge in electrical and electrotechnical fields.
- Ability to handle commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Familiarity with MS Office and basic computer skills.
