Job Summary

Celestica is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing new electrical systems and circuits for various applications.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will perform the following tasks:

  1. Design and Develop Technical Solutions: Design and develop technical solutions without assistance in a limited number of technical fields supporting common segments/technologies.
  2. Solve Complex Problems: May also solve complex problems in cooperation with a team of other engineers.
  3. Attend Technical Meetings: Attend and interact in technical customer meetings.
  4. Implement Systems: Design, modify and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs (e.g., creation of Schematics, Bills of material, diagrams, drawings, etc.).
  5. Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Knowledge: Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations.
  6. Liaise with Suppliers and Customers: Liaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams.
  7. Analyse and Interpret Data: Analyse and interpret data and information.
  8. Recommend Modifications: Recommend modifications for systems.
  9. Create Reports and Documentation: Create reports and documentation.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Environment

This role will be performed in a normal office environment, requiring extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements are frequently required. Occasional travel may be required.
