Job Summary

Celestica International is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing new electrical systems and circuits for various applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop technical solutions for electrical systems and circuits.
  • Research and develop new system ideas and create plans for implementation.
  • Test, simulate, validate, and qualify electrical systems and make adjustments as needed.
  • Provide support throughout the manufacturing process for electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust and high-quality product development.
  • Enhance designs with feedback from reviews in areas such as manufacturing, test, supply chain, reliability, industrial design, and simulations.
Requirements
  • Design and develop technical solutions without assistance in a limited number of technical fields supporting common segments/technologies.
  • Solve complex problems in cooperation with a team of other engineers.
  • Attend and interact in technical customer meetings.
  • Design, modify, and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs.
  • Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations.
  • Liaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams.
  • Analyze and interpret data and information.
  • Recommend modifications for systems.
  • Create reports and documentation.
Physical Demands

Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required. Occasional travel may be required.

Education and Experience

Typical Experience: 1 to 3 years. Typical Education: Bachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience. Educational Requirements may vary by Geography.
