Position : Project Coordinator
Employment Type : Full-Time/Non-Exempt
Reports to : Foreperson/General Foreperson
Key Responsibilities of Project Coordinator at Wright Tree Service :
- Secures verbal or written consent from property owners, municipalities, or businesses for tree trimming, removal, or herbicide application. Obtains necessary permits when required. Coordinates with clients to ensure access and informs them of any potential disruptions. Clarifies the scope of work and establishes timelines.
- Maintains and ensures the accuracy of all documentation and reports related to permissions and notifications from clients to the General Foreperson and crew members.
- Strategically plans and organizes tasks for crew members, taking into account factors such as equipment accessibility, time estimates for task completion, cleanup duration, available tools, weather conditions, and specific client instructions.
- Understands and adheres to all relevant work methods associated with line clearance operations.
- Evaluates right-of-way conditions to assess vegetation health and determine necessary maintenance actions.
- Addresses inquiries and concerns regarding work specifications and requirements.
- Reviews completed work by crew members or contractors to ensure compliance with utility standards.
- Aids in managing crew members or contractors during emergency restoration efforts.
- Provides support and assistance on special projects as directed by the utility.
- May be required to work in challenging terrain due to the nature of the responsibilities.
- Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications for Project Coordinator at Wright Tree Service :
- Demonstrates strong leadership abilities and the capacity to manage stressful situations while effectively multitasking.
- Possesses foundational knowledge of trees, including identification, growth patterns, and appropriate arboricultural practices for trimming, pruning, and maintenance, particularly in proximity to energized lines.
- Familiar with the American National Standards for Tree Care Operations (ANSI).
- Holds a basic understanding of electrical circuits and is proficient in reading and interpreting circuit maps.
- Capable of professional communication, both verbally and in writing, with the public, clients, and colleagues.
- Completes and passes an approved customer relations training and understands all relevant work methods applicable to the role.
- Must achieve ISA certification within 90 days of employment.
- Enforces safety protocols on the job.
- Must be able to wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Should be able to enter and exit a vehicle multiple times throughout the day.
- Must endure various weather conditions while performing job tasks, including rain, heat, sun, cold, and snow.
- Able to read, write, and comprehend written and verbal job instructions/information.
- Capable of effective communication and representing Wright Tree Service in a professional manner.
- Willing to work extended hours and overtime during emergencies (including holidays, weekends, and storm response) and be available for call-out work.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Holds a valid medical card to operate company vehicles weighing 10,001 lbs. GVWR or GVW and above.
- Must have valid First-Aid and CPR certifications.
