As a key contributor to our global Technology organization, you will play a vital role in driving innovation and excellence in power transformer development.
Key Responsibilities- Develop New Technologies and Products: Propose and develop cutting-edge technologies, products, and processes for both core and shell type transformers, aligning with our company's vision for innovation and growth.
- Lead R&D Projects: Manage and execute R&D projects independently, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget, and delivery of high-quality results that meet Hitachi Energy's internal standards and processes.
- Establish and Maintain Technical Standards: Develop, maintain, and expand technical standards and design tools for transformers, ensuring consistency and excellence across our organization.
- Knowledge Transfer and Collaboration: Share your expertise and findings through reports, specifications, and educational programs, fostering collaboration with stakeholders, internal functions, Corporate Research Centers, and external partners.
- Process Improvement and Support: Identify areas for improvement in production processes and provide proactive solutions, as well as support factories in troubleshooting and resolving issues within your domain of expertise.
- Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: More than 3 years of experience in R&D projects, engineering, or university research.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD modeling software (CREO, Solidworks, Solidedge), experience with advanced numerical simulations (e.g., fluid dynamics, mechanical simulations), and implementation of own solutions using commercial tools (e.g., Ansys, Fluent, CREO).
- Soft Skills: Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, a structured problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, and a spirit of innovation and out-of-the-box thinking.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish.
