Job Description

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and supporting integration requirements in Product Family Supply Chain Planning & Visibility. You will work on technical and integration support of existing SAP IBP implementation projects, focusing on technical and integration support of existing SAP IBP implementation project. Depending on your skillset, you may also work on technical and integration support of Project "New Planning Landscape" (OMP Planning tool).

Responsibilities
  • Understand the current implementation of SCM developments within SAP APO and SAP ERP.
  • Shape BASF's future planning landscape by moving existing planning processes into cloud-based planning tools by building sustainable interfaces (SAP IBP and OMP planning tool).
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor interfaces for different on-premise and cloud integration scenarios, with a focus on technical and integration support of existing SAP IBP implementation project.
  • Implement new integration requirements, aligning architecture decisions, setting up system connections and dataflows, and job scheduling across systems.
  • Support existing solutions, including interface monitoring, deployment of Excel Add-in and ERP Add-on, and documentation.
Requirements
  • A university degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP IBP technical integration, including setup of system connections, dataflows, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • SAP ABAP programming skills relevant for IBP integration.
  • Good understanding of security implications when setting up cloud solutions.
  • Basic Supply Chain Planning process knowledge.
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge and understanding of cloud-based solutions and integration scenarios connecting via Middleware (e.g. Kafka, SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO).
  • Knowledge related to Web Services (REST, SOAP), Streaming technologies (Kafka) and/or API development.
  • Unit Testing in SAP/Automated Testing.
