We are currently recruiting a Settlement Specialist for our company, Ria, who will be responsible for coordinating payment solutions for our business in the Nordic region. This involves finding the best payment method and following up on external agents' deposits to ensure seamless transactions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Payment Method Research: Learn about various payment methods, such as Automated Clearing House (ACH), Cash-In-Transit (CIT), Card Terminals, and others.
- Payment Method Documentation: Create a detailed list of available payment methods, including their respective fees and costs.
- Settlement Method Roll-out: Implement settlement methods, such as card payments, CIT, Smart Safes, and ACH.
- Provider Comparison: Compare different payment providers and select the best alternative for our business needs.
- Contingency Planning: Develop and execute contingency plans if one settlement method is blocked or unavailable.
- Provider Relationship Management: Identify and maintain good relationships with key contact persons at each payment provider.
- Transaction Review: Review transaction data, including gross, EBIT, texts, and volume, for current agents with CIT services and provide feedback to management.
- Agent Communication: Ensure new agents understand their payment methods and provide support as needed.
- Transaction Scheduling: Review and adjust pick-up schedule services in Fx-Client to ensure accurate and timely transactions.
Requirements:
- Minimum A-level education, with a degree in a financial discipline being an advantage.
- 2-3 years' work experience as an office clerk.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with any other Nordic language being highly valued.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, with at least an intermediate level of Excel.
- Personal qualities: self-motivated, team player, proactive, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, often pressurized environment and adapt to changing business needs.
- Previous experience in financial services or business development is highly valued.
