Position Overview:
The Mechanical Engineering Supervisor for the ANAV Project is a pivotal role within the Fluid Systems group, part of the Global Engineering Services (GES) organization. This group is dedicated to delivering comprehensive technical services and engineering support to ensure the safety and reliability of plant fluid and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Oversee the ANAV Project Mechanical group, utilizing extensive knowledge of utility-specific skills, processes, and procedures.
- Client Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers, serving as the primary point of contact for the ANAV project, ensuring regular communication and updates to all stakeholders.
- Proposal Development: Lead and coordinate the preparation of proposals, including work package definitions, technical descriptions, scheduling, and cost estimations.
- Team Coordination: Assign work packages and provide technical support and coordination among team members.
- Cross-Organizational Collaboration: Work closely with other ANAV Project supervisors to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal procedures and standards, as well as compliance with ANAV and GES level KPIs.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for quality enhancement in products, processes, and procedures, contributing to the development of new methods and their implementation.
- Team Management: Mentor and lead an engineering team, focusing on skill development, issue resolution, and performance management.
- Workload Planning: Assist in planning workloads and resource assignments in collaboration with the Fluid Systems and ANAV Architect Engineer manager.
- Innovation Leadership: Spearhead innovation and internally funded projects.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in engineering leadership, particularly in coordinating teams for design modifications in complex scenarios.
- In-depth knowledge of ANAV NPP and Westinghouse local procedures.
- Strong operational and organizational acumen to effectively navigate within Westinghouse.
- Comprehensive understanding of ANAV fluid systems and plant programs.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in one or more engineering disciplines, capable of leading engineering efforts at the project level.
- Ability to work independently while effectively mentoring and leading a team of engineers.
- Approximately 10+ years of relevant experience.
- An Engineering License or equivalent is mandatory.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required; knowledge of Catalan is a plus.
This role is integral to the success of the ANAV Project, ensuring high standards of engineering excellence and customer satisfaction.
