We are excited to launch the Operational Program, a unique opportunity aimed at shaping the Plant Managers of the future at Nutreco.

About the Role

The Operational Program is a 18-month comprehensive training program designed to provide hands-on experience in different areas and plants across Iberia. As a Plant Manager, you will be responsible for managing the operational activities in the plant, within the applicable Nutreco standards and procedures. This includes production planning and execution, maintenance and repair, leadership and people management, reporting, quality/HSE compliance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Production Planning and Execution: Coordinate production operations within a single plant that uses common production equipment, methods, and standards over multiple shifts.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Oversees the mid and long-term maintenance planning for the assigned area, including budgets. Ensures that all maintenance activities are planned and prioritized to prevent/rectify breakdowns and malfunctions and minimize business disruptions.
  • Leadership and People Management: Provides leadership to his/her area in production and M&R, including setting individual objectives, reviewing performance, and providing ongoing feedback.
  • Reporting: Develops and/or monitors the relevant KPIs to maintain an insight into the performance of the OpCo in the assigned area against the set targets.
  • Quality/HSE Compliance: Assures that all activities and operations are executed in line with HSE/Quality rules, regulations, procedures, instructions, guidelines, and promotes awareness thereof.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifies and implements improvements to the OpCo's systems, processes, and practices to improve/optimize effectiveness and efficiency of the processes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or related field).
  • At least 5 years of experience, and 2-3 years of previous experience in production plants or production processes.
  • Experience in team management or leadership roles.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness and availability to relocate and travel across Iberia.
