Postdoctoral Researcher in Superconducting Devices

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. The successful candidate will work on theoretical problems related to electronic transport in superconducting devices, with a focus on designing novel applications for quantum technologies.
Research GroupThe candidate will join the research group of Prof. Alfredo Levy Yeyati, Dr. Rafael Sánchez, and Dr. Pablo Burset, which specializes in both analytical and numerical computations to microscopically describe the novel quantum transport properties of advanced materials such as topological insulators, graphene, and quantum dots, and their interaction with superconductivity and magnetism in hybrid junctions.
Responsibilities- Conduct theoretical research on electronic transport in superconducting devices
- Develop novel applications for quantum technologies
- Collaborate with the research group on various projects
The ideal candidate should hold a PhD in Physics and have prior experience with superconducting hybrid junctions. A strong background in electronic transport phenomena in solids is also essential.
What We OfferWe offer a competitive annual salary of around 29,500€ before taxes and a 2-year contract. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to travel, teach, and mentor, as well as collaborate and communicate science with the research group.
