As a Reliability and Safety Engineer at Thales Alenia Space, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the dependability and safety of our space products. You will be responsible for providing expert analysis and guidance on reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety (RAMS) engineering to support the development and implementation of our space products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a dependability and safety program plan for all project phases, addressing RAMS requirements applicable to the project.
- Perform RAMS design, analysis, modeling, and simulation to specify and verify that our space products meet customer requirements during the operational lifetime.
- Represent RAMS in technical meetings involving RAMS-related issues and participate in design decisions impacting or potentially impacting RAMS.
- Review RAMS analyses performed by subcontractors and identify risks and opportunities with adequate anticipation and propose mitigation actions.
- Prepare subsystem and equipment RAMS requirements for relative specifications, interface requirements, and test requirements by analyzing and decomposing customer requirements.
- Evaluate the compliance of designs with RAMS engineering requirements by reviewing technical specifications, designs, and design changes for both hardware and software, and suggest design alternatives where appropriate to enhance reliability.
- Experience on projects in the context of safety and RAM assurance.
- Knowledge of design engineering, particularly electronic design.
- Competence in RAMS analysis methods.
- A five-year experience in RAMS engineering is preferred.
