About This Role

As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and validating the architecture that supports robust, large-scale SaaS applications. Your expertise in SaaS architecture will be crucial in facilitating the seamless transition from development to production and ongoing maintenance of our diverse applications.

You will engage with cross-functional teams, including product managers, domain specialists, and technical leads, to ensure our products are both reliable and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Design: Define the architecture for our cloud-native SaaS solutions. Develop and implement designs that prioritize scalability, resilience, and optimal performance. Cost-Effective Solutions: Utilize in-depth knowledge of hyperscale cloud provider offerings to create economically viable solutions without sacrificing performance. Stay updated on pricing models and service options to enhance architecture for cost efficiency and operational excellence. Risk Assessment: Evaluate functional and non-functional requirements to identify potential impacts, dependencies, and risks. Formulate strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the delivery of dependable solutions. Architectural Standards: Maintain and improve architectural standards. Ensure that designs conform to best practices and align with organizational goals. Collaborative Development: Collaborate closely with product managers, domain experts, and other technical teams to drive innovation and ensure cohesive development approaches. Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to technical teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Technological Awareness: Keep abreast of technological advancements and trends, especially in cloud computing and SaaS. Adapt strategies to effectively leverage emerging technologies. Strategic Leadership: Act as a thought leader within the organization, contributing to the strategic direction of technology initiatives and products.

Qualifications:

We seek a passionate individual with a strong background in technology:

Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience: At least 6 years of experience in designing cloud-native architectures, with a proven history in developing and deploying SaaS applications. Cloud Architecture Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in creating cost-effective, cloud-native solutions with major hyperscale cloud providers, employing both Kubernetes and serverless technologies to optimize cost and performance. Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Python, Java, or Go. Extensive experience in designing SaaS applications across various hyperscale cloud providers. Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and event-driven architectures. Solid skills in API design, security, and management. Familiarity with CI/CD/CT practices and modern data architecture technologies. Knowledge of Network Design Optimization (NDO) and/or ML/AI is a significant advantage. Architectural Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of cloud-native architecture principles and patterns. Experience in designing scalable and efficient modern data architectures, adept at selecting appropriate technologies. Proficient in current hyperscale cloud provider offerings. Capable of managing real-time and batch data, and designing and implementing ETL processes and data pipelines in a cloud-native context. Data Governance: Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance. Skilled in building scalable data processing systems within cloud environments. Leadership Skills: Experience leading design phases of cloud-native applications (HLD, LLD, DD, UAT). Ability to lead by example in programming and documentation practices. Capable of clearly explaining complex issues and concerns to stakeholders. Interpersonal Skills: A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset. Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong collaborative spirit, and outstanding communication skills in English.
