We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our Shared Service Center of Labour Relations at The Applus+ Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing efficient and excellent service support in labor relations and payroll responsibilities to our Corporate Areas.
This role involves:
- Ensuring that key costs (e.g. bonus accrual, salary levels) are correctly tracked and recorded, acting as a central point of contact to address any questions and challenges that may arise.
- Contributing to shaping and implementing the global pay review and variable pay process, ensuring that the process is compliant with the requirements of the reward governance framework.
- Ownership of the payroll processing cycle for a country or a company depending on size and complexity.
- Payroll balances and controls at input and output (Source to Gross, Gross to Net).
- Payroll accounting support.
- Complex payroll queries & escalations.
- Point of contact for stakeholders (Benefits, Compensation, Stock Options, HR Services, Local HR, Recruitment, Accounting, Treasury, and others).
- Projects: process improvement.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3+ years of experience in Spanish Payroll.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Good analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience with Spanish Labor Code, Taxation, Social Security System.
Preferred Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with:
- Deep knowledge of personal income tax legislation, labor law.
- Familiarity with SAP, PeopleSoft, Workday, ADP software.
- Experience with process transitions.
- Sense of innovation.
