About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Controller to join our team at SD Worx. As a Business Controller, you will play a critical role in supporting key management decisions by translating business topics into financials and challenging them.

You will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, and analysis based on business information. You will work closely with the finance and business management teams, and have regular contact with other finance colleagues, including the local and global accounting teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Be the finance SPOC and key person for your scope, helping the business to translate strategic decisions into financials and use financials to steer in the right direction.
  2. Prepare a variety of financial analyses and presentations independently, providing information to executive Management.
  3. Understand the business model and market to be able to challenge the business where needed.
  4. Manage risks and opportunities together with your business, based on financials and business discussions.
  5. Own the budget, forecast, and long-term planning of your scope.
  6. Story-build actuals and challenge financials, in comparison with budget, forecast, and previous year, as well as historical trends of your scope.
  7. Interact with local accounting and billing/invoicing teams.
  8. Provide ad hoc analysis, e.g., business cases to support management with financial decisions.
  9. Initiate and contribute to continuous improvement of processes.
  10. Participate in local and global initiatives, which may require occasional travel.
Requirements
  1. Master degree in Economics, Accounting, Corporate Finance, or similar.
  2. 5 years of relevant working experience within finance, with controlling experience being a must.
  3. Pro-active, critical mindset, and hands-on attitude.
  4. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, able to plan effectively, and comfortable taking critical decisions.
  5. Affinity with both business and finance.
  6. Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  7. Fluent in spoken and written English.
  8. Knowledge of French language is a plus.
  9. Experienced user of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  10. Knowledge of SAP4Hana and Power BI is a plus.
